Yadim Medore

Founder & CEO

“The art and science of branding is really about scaling passion.”

Yadim is on a mission to help legacy and emerging dietary supplement brands stop leading with the science, connect emotionally with consumers, and drive higher revenue and valuations. Pure Branding is the company he founded to do this. And it’s been the inspiration behind his team’s ability to deliver business-transforming and award-winning research, strategy, expression and activation for dozens of leading dietary supplement brands.

In 1999, recognizing a need for smart, sophisticated brand strategy in the burgeoning natural food and dietary supplement industry, Yadim saw an opportunity to align his personal values and professional livelihood. Leaving an award-winning career as a creative director in the publishing industry, Yadim founded Pure Branding to cater to the needs of early clients like Dr. Hauschka and Herb Pharm, whom he saw as forerunners to a growing demand for healthy, mission-driven brands.

His hunch was right — the supplement category has grown into a $60 billion industry — and Pure Branding is now the leading research, strategy, and brand development agency dedicated exclusively to the of the unique needs of emerging and legacy dietary supplement brands in the consumer and health care professional channels. An industry expert, Yadim has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, and numerous industry journals including Nutrition Business Journal, writes a regular column for Nutrition Industry Executive, and is invited to speak regularly at industry conferences including The NBJ Summit, CRN, UNPA, Natural Products Expo, SupplySide, and The Practitioner Channel Forum.

As an adjunct professor at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, Yadim taught strategic sales and marketing for their new Executive Master of Science in Nutrition Business Leadership (MSNBL). He’s also an industry advisor to numerous investment banking firms and capital networks who specialize in the nutrition space.

Before Pure Branding

Prior to founding Pure Branding, Yadim was Creative Director at Disney Publishing, where his understanding of lifestyle branding increased circulation of FamilyFun magazine by 400 percent, and was honored by Adweek’s 10 Hottest Magazines list three years running. As an award-winning Art Director at New Age Journal, Yadim led the rebrand that laid the foundation for the magazine’s eventual sale to Martha Stewart Omnimedia as Whole Living.

Yadim’s vision of a more enlightened commercial landscape was probably planted in his childhood. Raised by early conscious consumers of the ’70s, he fondly remembers trips to the local natural foods store. He credits his liberal arts background and professional acting training, acquired at Bennington College and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, with honing his ability to translate the rational into the emotive and bring empathy to the process of branding.

“The art and science of branding is really about scaling passion,” says Yadim. “And it’s truly an honor to be working in an industry that’s full of passionate people who want to make a difference in other people’s lives and our global community.”
